Bud Seligson, born in Chicago Illinois, has been a ghost writer to many of the major, well known writers of today’s fiction and Science Fiction. He is also known, in Hollywood as a “story doctor,” to many of the studios. He has a BA in Education from the University of Illinois, and an MA in Ancient History from Northwestern University. Many of his clients work in the entertainment industry.
His writing began at age 15, when he entered a science fiction magazine contest where he won first prize for his short story “Vinnie and the Dragon”. Along with the prize money, he received a letter of congratulations and short note from the editor of a famous publication. That editor was none other than the father of science fiction, Isaac Asimov. Bud was asked by Isaac to write bits and short piece articles for his magazine on an ongoing basis. With each new writing contest, his love for sci-fi and fantasy grew deeper and stronger.
After college, Bud achieved his life’s ambition of becoming a ghost writer of science fiction and fantasy for a major movie studio. Through his journey, his ghost writing has expanded through many genres including: how-to magazines, books on business, diet manuals, cookbooks, autobiographies, and even several political speeches. And all the while, he remained behind the scenes.
In 2001 Bud starting publishing novels in his own name, and have been known to include some hot and steamy love scenes.
Mr. Seligson’s novels include the DaVinci’s Clock series, as well as the latest Otzi series.
Bud continues to write science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. He is married to his lovely wife Diane, and has two children, and seven grandchildren.
In 2015, Bud teamed up with a famous second writer for Gilligan’s Island, Scooby Doo, Laverne and Shirley, etc., etc. His partner’s well-known name in the industry is Ron Sellz and together they have just completed six new novels that should be in print for early 2017.
